OnSite Energy was founded in 2012 by Orion Thornton and Conor Darby, two solar industry veterans who shared a vision of elevating the solar industry in Montana. With years of experience, they set out to build a team dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, customer care, and innovation.

Now a leading solar provider in Montana, OnSite Energy has completed over 800 projects across the state, totaling 13 megawatts of clean energy. Our 35+ person team delivers full-service solar and energy storage systems tailored to each customer’s unique needs. From Bozeman to Missoula and beyond, we design and install custom solar and energy storage systems for homes, businesses, and nonprofits. Our approach combines technical expertise, local knowledge, and a commitment to sustainability, making the transition to solar easy and rewarding for our clients.
